Damn, if that chart shows anything it's that launch sales don't mean anything, especially for Nintendo consoles.  The GC started stronger than the Wii, yet sold ~35M less than it.  The GBA was the strongest launch, pretty close to the Switch, yet sold ~10M less than the Wii and ~25M less than the DS.  The 3DS had the weakest launch, yet has done ~15M more than the Wii U, so far.
