I don't care much for MGS and that's one of the reasons. Why I loved MGR,let me just get to the action. I will give MGS this. At least when they did it still carries a certain continuity because it's in game assets. Backdrops and characters don't suddenly look worse or better. When a game switches to live action and low budget sets and cheap cinimatopgrahy and yes QB has it it breaks that continuity. It slaps you in the face reminding you yes you were playing a game. The exact opposite experience a game like QB wants.

You remember Final Fantasy games on the PS1? Great looking cutscenes but chracters looked like Minecraft on pre-rendred pictures.

Frankly, that's a ton of games. Great looking cutscenes with vastly inferior visuals.

I get what you're saying, but it doesn't hold water.

PS1 era was because the PS1/Saturn visuals were too limited to properly express the scene. We have not really needed that since late PS2 era Was not needed last gen and this gen ESP isn't needed. Games are advanced enough that stuff is no longer needed. So the live action of QB just becomes a gimmick and a poor one at that.
