I get the feeling they probably could port it to the docked Switch, but the undocked mode is the problem.

To be perfectly blunt, the game offers nothing both modes couldn't handle (frankly it could have been done with no serious changes on PS3, 360, and Wii U).  Especially when you can disable or heavily scale back things like AF and AA along with the resolution.  Overwatch just isn't a technically advanced game at all.  It would take work to optimize, but I could see it on Switch just fine.  At absolute worst it could run at 30fps locked in handheld and 60fps in docked.  Which Blizzard is clearly open to because that's what you get with the minimum PC specs.  The meshes aren't overly detailed, the textures/materials are only pretty good in quality, it's lighting is in the same boat as the materials, it has good AA and AF (would have to double check on the second one but I'm pretty sure).  It's not even in the same league or even close to the same league as, say, Bttlefront or Battlefield.  And as for the game's systems?  Yeah, no, the Switch could have a dang good version if Blizzard could be assed.  We'll see if they can as time goes forward.
