I agree Vita is dead, especially in the US. Unfortunatly, nothing has come out to replace it. I am still using my 3G Vita for Phone Calls, Messaging, E-mail, Web Browsing, and much more on the go. Their is just no other device that offers what the Vita does.

The Switch has a shot at replacing the Vita, but it needs a smaller model, and 4G to fully fill the Vita's shoes. Apple, and any one of the Android manufactures could try and replace it, but they seem perfectly happy making more and more useless touch, but don't feel devices.

From my expereince with other mobile devices in the last 5 years, nothing has come close to offering the expereince the Vita does. The only problem with it is the lack of software and services, and the fact that it has not recieved a make over in years. If Sony dropped a redesigned PS Vita right now, with 4G, the same CPU/GPU, and 4GB of RAM, it would be light years ahead of anything on the market. Sadly, it still wouldn't sell.

I would love to move on from my day one 3G Vita. The battery only lasts about 3 hours now. 64GB is just not enough to hold all of the games, movies, music, and apps that I want access to. The lack of services, which is getting smaller each quarter, is making it less desirable. Most of all, the lack of top tier PlayStation exclusives, sans Remote Play, is becoming a drag.

Hopefully, Sony will bring a 4G or even 5G version of the PS4 out in a mobile form factor. That is want I would like, but a 4G Switch, or a handheld form factor android from HTC, LG, or Samsung would also suffice. I will not support an Xperia Android though. At any rate, there is a massive void in the mobile industry right now, and it needs to be filled.
