If you sell or trade in your old PS4, you don't have to justify $400. That upgrade will only cost you $150 - $250.

My upgrade costs were around €140. Even without counting in the performance difference, it was totally worth just for a quieter console with fresh 2 year warranty and a higher resell value when the PS5 launches.
