I still find the chemical weapons story strange seeing as the Syrian government and Russia are on the front foot and using chemical weapons has no real advantage for them especially as it is a red line for Western countries.

The whole problem with the Syrian situation is how either side portray the events without any layers. All sides are doing bad things and a lot of countries are involved in blood. And seeing how US handled Mosul almost the same script as how Russia/Syrian government handled Aleppo, Syria has become a warzone of hypocrisy between all sides. Shame as the people who suffer the most are those not involved in the conflict.

In any case, this is a warning sign for things to come. I hope it's just a one off strike for the sake of the region.
