He tries hard to let it look as if he was responsible for the added jobs the last two months and other good things which happened to the economy. Well, Fox and others try to let it sound as if it is b/c of him, too.

If he wouldn't fool some people with stuff like that, his rate would be probably even lower.

Only thing you can really believe him is that some companies are happy about some of his decisions for their future outlook but that's not a surprise. Companies are obviously happy if they can fuck up the planet more and are supposed to pay less taxes anytime soon.

He has also some luck if it comes to the automotive industry. Right now there are still many jobs needed and when electric cars will start to be a really big deal so that manufacturers don't need many employees anymore (who are building all the parts electric cars don't have anymore) he won't be president anymore and then he can start to blame the next president for how he is responsible for less jobs in that industry
