**Contains SPOILERS from OCARINA OF TIME**

Most Zelda fans are on this same page as I am. I totally adore Breath of the Wild. Been playing it non-stop over the past month. There's so many innovative, thoughtful, new and charming things about it that it makes me both extremely optimistic but also worried about Zelda.

How do you make a Zelda game that tops this? It differs so broadly from other Zelda games that if you disrupted the BotW formula further - it may not even feel like a Zelda game at all, but rather something different.

I'm tempted to say - go back to original Zelda formula every once in awhile. But there's also a lot of things I'd like to keep from BotW for all future Zeldas.

So here's how I think we compromise on that:

Create a spinoff of Ocarina of Time that focuses on Zelda's journey to becoming Sheik.

I have always felt a remarkable adventure occurred between this moment of Zelda's life

And how she became this mysterious powerful warrior with the knowledge to guide Link on the rest of his journey.

I have little doubt Impa tought Zelda a lot about how to fight and survive. But at some point, Zelda had to strike out on her own. I think there are plenty of mysteries of the Sheikah Zelda had to discover on her own while she awaited Link's return in time. And I think that would make for an incredible adventure. One that I already have known for a long time that I want to play - even more badly after the BotW.

Similar aspects of exploration/survival of BotW - but with bigger and more involved dungeons than BotW. Many shrines, but fewer of than BotW. Add this twist to it: you are more or less always on the run from Ganon and have to be creative in concealing your identity at various points of the game. Same combat system as BotW, but with even more stealth options.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
