Even with the multiple playtroughs Nier should be shorter. I heard some people saying Persona was good for short gaming sessions because of the day activities, I'm not convinced but you might just play it when you're sick of Nier.
I would personnaly start with the shorter one, but I haven't invested in N:A yet so take this with a grain of salt.
