Most people would only buy 1 console from per console manufacturer in a generation. |
Not really. For starters most consoles have a life span of 5 years. Not including break downs, damaged and any other form of accident/incident that happens over a generation. Many cases when a console stops working. The owner buys a new one.
Example - You brought a XboxOne at launch. After 4 years you have a problem and it stops working.
A- Not buy another one
B- Buy a 2nd hand launch console which can have similar problems to yours in the future.
C- Buy a Xboxone S with improved performance and design for roughly the same price.
I know what option ill choose.
There are heaps of double dippers in a generation.
Same can be said with a PS4, Slim and Pro.
Thats not including all the owners who just upgrade for the sake of it.
