The world has not recovered from the 2008 economic meltdown. We have experienced a global recession for 10 years. The politicians, media and economists are liars if they tell you otherwise. Mass unemployment, businesses closing down, low interest rates, property price falls are clear signs of a struggling global economy. Video game industry success relied heavily upon middle class to waste money on video games. A decline in wages and increasing unemployment, have resulted in a downturn in consumer spending on video games.
