In 2013 the best console I could get for $399 was something that played games at 1080p. 

Now that same console costs $250. Are they punishing me by reducing the price? Should I be reimbursed?

In nov 2016 I can buy the same console I bought in 2013 at the same $399 but this time it is able to play thesame games but at a higher resolution. The exact same games. How is anyon being punished here? The older console is still out and available and is even cheaper. Like seriously, what kinda logic are you using?

Well you dont seem to have any problems with it and thats fine, but it might suck for people who cant afford to upgrade their console every 2-3 years, but want the best experience possible. Thats kinda the point of consoles. So yes, you are punishing the people who buy the console they think will give them the best experience that gen early by releasing an upgraded one soon after.
