That's the joke; he's discrediting the OP's topic about society only having arbitrary expectations for what women can wear with a post demonstrating that there equally arbitrary expectations for what men can wear.

I never said men aren't given crap 

I will be honest though (and a bit hypocritical)- men shouldn't be wearing skirts, especially if they have gorilla legs ;p
