I don't know more about any deal that yoshida had nor would I presume to know more than him in general. I do  know what third, second and first party are though. Insomniac was shopping for a publisher after Sony refused to do it.pretty simple to understand, I think. The game was not commissioned. To be second party the ip must be commissioned solely for a first party.
