Third parties suck and like to screw over Nintendo console owners. This has nothing to do with the manufacturing costs of Switch cards.

Then why do you think that Lego went with the 8gb cartridge and requires people to download 2/3 of the game as opposed to opting for a 20 gig cartridge if the cost doesn't matter?

This question has no validity since disk-based media also has downloads/installs and games that vary in price with mandatory installs as well.

I think this is more about an acceptable practice on two other consoles attempting to be passed on to the third console. I think if there is a way to cut a corner and make MORE money, developers and publishers would be stupid not to test the idea and see how it goes. It is a business decision, but it may not be the one you are attempting to imply.

As far as two other games costing ten dollars more, there could be other reasons (isn't one a download title?) like outsourcing development to an idependent developer and charging ten dollars more because that developer needs to get paid as well. Again, it would be business, but that does not mean it has to be the business direction you think it is. 3DS did not encounter these issues and it is... believe it or not... a cartridge based console.
