Dang, I haven't been able to play a lot of Spla2n due to being busy with other things. From what I did play, I did notice some interesting changes. For starters, I don't like the button layout. I dunno if it's Zelda, but I felt the controls were weird for me, and I am not used to needing to use a button to bring out the map... 2nd was movement felt a little slow, at least when I was the roller, I felt I moved a little slow, but then picked up speed, so... just something I noticed. 3rd was all the new special types. I'm not really sure how to best use them, so I've been kinda messing up with them. I think the ground smash is my favorite.
I feel I can go on and on, but overall, it was fun to play again. I kinda suck again though T_T
