Did you read my comment?

I already know the Switch's screen is comparable to the Vita as a whole, which is where i imagine his issue stems from. You might be able to take them off, but if you're using the Switch as a handheld (which he assumably is, based on his comparison to the Vita) then the JCs are somewhat necessary to... well, play on it. With the JCs, the Switch is a decent chunk larger. I see no contradiction.

I think you yourself never read what I initially posted because I always refered to the tablet unit's size and that the JC custom usage was an evolution of handheld and portable gaming, if you never realized this when I posted that's not my problem as the device itself is the same size as the Vita even more so for anyone playing with the JCs detached. If he's reffering to the JCs being attached then he should clarify just that.

I already gave the dimensions previously in this thread, and even without JCs, Switch is bigger than Vita (if measures are right, I took them from wikipedia) :

Switch (console only, without joycons) :
23.9 cm (width) by 10.2 cm (height)
(9.41 in × 4.02 in)
= 243.78 cm²

PS Vita (1st model, wifi version) :
18.2 cm (width) by 8.35 cm (height)
(7.2 in x 3.289 in)
= 151.97 cm² (even a little less, vita is not rectangular)

I put my ps vita with a soft case or my 3DS in my pocket, but ps vita is close to the maximum size I can put, so I know I can't do the same with the Switch.

So yes, Switch is bigger, and his claim sounds legit to me.
