They are not a European country they belong to North America and aren't they independent by now. The Dutch Antilles aren't a part of Europe either. Nor any of the (former) British colonies which still acknowledge the Queen of England as their queen for some reason.

I wasn't talking about Greenland itself. I was talking about Denmark. Greenland is still a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, yet nobody is saying Denmark is a part of North America, unless you just did? But yeah... they aren't

And no Canada etc aren't part of Europe, obviously. But if they were still part of the UK that wouldn't stop the UK from being a European country, which is basically what you're saying should happen...

Continents are defined by place not culture. Culture wise America, Australia and other Western countries are culturally way closer to Europe than others. Anyway Greenland is an autonomous country, which happen to fall under the kingdom of Denmark just as a part of the Dutch Antilles and the Falkland Islands. Those countries are not European, even if they are culturally bound to it since a continent is a geographical area. Countries like Russia and Turkey lie for a (small) part in Europe but their biggest landmass lies in Asia. So I don't count them as European countries. Perhaps Russia could be counted as Europe since its capital lies there and most Russia civilians live in the European part. But that's defenitly not the case for Turkey. Which is as much a part of Europe as Kazachstan.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
