Yeah Edmonton only worked on DLC content for ME before. It's not the usual ME studio. As for the game being on new engine, that didn't stop the Dragon Age Inquisition team from handling Frost Bite far better. Of course the Dragon Age team has been pretty much the same development team since it's inception.

You are so wrong on what you just said. Edmonton made the ENTIRE original ME trilogy. Not just DLC, the whole thing. Some DLC may have been outsourced though. Also many people were moved to Montreal for the development of Andromeda but most of the core people stayed in Edmonton. Edmonton also has a small team that was helping out with Andromeda, the main focus is still the new IP that should be revealed later this year. Also perhaps a new Dragon Age is in development ;)

Also Mac Walters, a main writer of the series who came in for ME2 is in Montreal and wrote Andromeda.

You are absolutely right. I confused Montreal and Edmonton for some reason. My apologies. As for Mac Walters, I didnt really care for his work on the original trilogy. I thought Drew Karpyshyn did a much better job. Mac seemed way too enamored with Liara at the expense of other characters and seemed to completely abandon original narrative theme of the series. He also just dropped the dark energy plot line and left it with no resolution.

@d21lewis

I preordered it as well. I usually don't do digital pre-orders. I hear that the game gets better after Eos. So hopefully thats true. I just don't understand how they screwed up the Character Creator, save system, and animation so badly. The Dragon Age team already transistioned to Frost Bite. Couldn't they have leaned on their experience with the engine or made use of their facial animation technology?
