For the math to make sense that Wifi would 1/3rd the battery life of the Switch playing Zelda you are suggesting that the Wifi portion of the console uses 200% the power of the entire rest of the device.

Stop and think about for a minute. Then stop.

Constant use of wifi for a heavy graphical game? There is no way that would last anywhere near 3 hours.

Perhaps instead of passive aggressive insults you actually add to the conversation.

How long do you think a graphically intense MMO would last on a handheld?

You do know the consuption of a Wi-Fi chip is in the milliwatts? Compared to over 3 Watts for the rest of the Switch it doesn't add a huge drain even if it's always on.

Worse, if the Switch is constantly checking for Wi-Fi signals like most other mobile devices do, the chip is always active even though it doesn't get put to use (background update downloading nonwithstanding).

Long story short, it could make the Switch drop from 3:00 to 2:45 and that's about it.

By the way, do you really think Nintendo would release Splatoon 2 on the Switch if players would have to recharge their console every 3-4 matches? I think not.
