A new system is selling at launch... the Wii U also did, like the Dreamcast... yeah, you are really bringing something of substance to the table, Rol, even more as it was not even a point made here... Don't put words in my mouth, don't "xxx" me in something I didn't say because that's what you took from it, again, bring something of substance to the table, as just just said, either you stick to the OP content, or just keep quiet. |
Rol will be mocked a lot from big N going third party beggers, in case of switch end up to be a commercial flop but rol will laugh more at them when probably that commercial flop makes 3-4B$ on hardware, especially when remembering that something with 87m sales lost 5-6b$ on hardware.
Although, i feel you're from those who just want nintendo games on stronger platform and not to have to spend money purchasing their own hardware, not those who have the ( wrong ) notion that NIntendo will be healthier company as a third party, since they would supposedly reach a greater audience, ignoring how much money they will be deprieved of from abandoning hardware ( consoles and its accessories ) and selling their own software on their own hardware. Plus that how many software they must have to sell, if not to surpass the profits that they would be making as hardware maker, to at least match them. ( What about Japan? Even though you must not mean to abandon handheld hardware, that obviously would be inane)
Nintendo all it had to do, was to expand! Mobile games, theme parks and movies in the near future, I would like them to create games for pc too in they way they did for mobile, smartphones/tablet for handheld consoles are what pc/laptops are for home consoles.
Of course, Nintendo will finally follow the practices of MS/SONY with online services and subscriptions, since MS/SONY make tons of money from these this gen.
P.s Reasons for not going third party aren't just financial, it's also related with quantity and quality of games! Nintendo wouldn't be so conscientious at software developement and eager to make so many games in other platforms of the once direct competition, Ι believe.
