I'm just relating my own experiences from last night. White one drops an 18 spear. I use that spear on the next white one, it broke before the fight was over. Again with the next one. They don't go down in 10 hits anymore. I have them stun locked for 30 hits or more with a spear. Even with my 54 two hander it's run up 2 hits, run up 2 hits knocking him around all over the place taking about 15 hits. All with barbarian armor with +2 attack.

I'm not throwing away weapons anymore, I ended up with free slots for the first time in the game, filled with a dmg 4 boku club, torch and pitch fork!

The game doesn't become more difficult since once you knock them down (just one tap with a lightning sword will do) it's just a matter of raining hits on them until they're dead. Sneak attack with dmg 60 doesn't even take half their health anymore. I wonder if there's an end to the enemy leveling as camps do indeed become a place to avoid at this rate. And I just had another blood moon, yay.

I've found a few Koroks close to camps (even on top of one skull) yet that's very rare so I guess it's fine to avoid them. It's just a shame they turned from being fun risk vs reward challenges to durability drains. It's no longer can I survive this, it's can I afford it... They drop gems, I'm swimming in rupees, can't buy weapons though.

It's probably fine again when I get to an originally tougher zone so the normal enemies drop decent weapons again. Hateno region is a bit borked atm.

Think of the camps as post game stuff.

I mean imagine if they were as weak as they were in the beginning. What fun would the game be at the point when you are all decked out and have great gear and played for 100+ hours. You'd be a walkign god and nothing could hurt you and you OHKO everything.

The upgraded fort monsters give you a challenge if you ever want it.

The challenge is appreciated, the reward sucks though. Just now a white one came running after me out of the forest with a pitch fork! I knocked his tank ass into the lake below. I bet he could still 1 hit kill me with that pitch fork. It wasn't a camp monster, just wandering a forest next to Hateno village. Oddly the night skeletons are still the baby ones, which is a shame as they're usually a good source for spare weapons.

My aim with the summoned bombs+ is impeccable by now, slimes, bats, mining, rock monsters, baby skeletons, not spending durability on you! I should use arrows more often I guess, I have almost 500 all together... I only use them sparingly as the replacement bows all suck in this zone.

The game is at it's best when wandering around and discovering things. Exploration is awesome in BotW and very rewarding. Your cold resistant clothes not breaking after scaling 2 mountains isn't gamebreaking at all! Why do weapons have so much wear as to make you want to avoid combat. I have 3 stamina bars, Gavelo's launch, speed buffs, climbing gear (don't need it as I can simply jump up 95% of cliffs) And guess what, it doesn't make it any less fun. So why the assumption that weapons not breaking will ruin the game.

The enemies level enough that a dmg 60 weapon still doesn't kill them fast, just fast enough for it not to become a chore. Plus you can 1 hit kill a whole lot of the lower enemies with them, but use it against an even match and it's likely to break after 1 or 2 fights. So yes, you're a walking god that gets his toys taken away when you use them on what they're for... It's kinda backwards.

It's not anywhere near enough of a nuisance to stop playing, but things could be handled better.
