This is a true open world game. You could go face Ganon the moment you leave the intro plateau. And you can reach everything else. Also in fights, you have plenty of possibilities to be tricky. So you might always be able to get powerful stuff early on. The only way to avoid that, is not giving powerful stuff at all. But that is bad for another bunch of reasons, most importantly it would take a feel of progress if your weapons stay the same. No, it is all right that powerful enemies give you powerful loot, but with opening up the world you are allowed to face said enemies early on, so you can get the loot. |
The thing I love about this way of doing things is, is that I'm just one bad fight away from being basically back to where I was in the beginning. You know, with only a stick to my name.
Though I woudl still have my armor. But it's kind of neat at times to go from equal to overpowered to runningn from a fight all within the same hour and same enemies. It's moments like that make me stop and rethink my battles. Obviously playing a game for X amount of hours and getting strong weapons you start to go from strategizing battles to just bull rushing in. The bull rushing in though ends up taking a toll to your weapons and you soon find you can' tdo that anymore. So it has forced me to go back to sniping, sneaking, dropping boulders, bombs, ect. to soften the enemy before I go in guns a blazing.
