it is sort of questionable, as flashdrives are getting cheaper and cheaper as time passes.
And certainly it wouldn't logically equate to a $10 price change. maybe a few dollars.
Make no mistake, this is an exaggerated story. There is no possible way that the difference in production cost of physical media from discs to (essentially) DS carts would be justification in charging $10 more.
This is just balogney and an excuse some developers might be throwing out to justifiy why they are upcharging on the system. Make no mistake- any excuse people can try to convince you of as far as why they're charging more- they'll make it. Not shocking too, if they're making disc based versions of their games on 3 platforms (Xbox , Playstation, PC), then its pretty easy for them to then say "omg we're charging more because the other version is a pain for us to make (cartridges).
I don't buy it for a second. Again, it might be marginally more expensive. But this isn't a giant cartridge like back in the day. Small flashdrives are cheap asf to make these days and have been projected to become cheaper to manufacture than discs in not too long
but again, a few minutes of research will indicate that flashdrives are marginally, if at all, more expensive at this point. They've become smaller and manufactured in higher amounts than ever before.
