-Nazis were Nativist/Xenophobic =/= not tenent of left

-They don't believe in equality =/= not tenent of left

The early 20th century Progressives on the left definitely were xenophobic and didn't believe in equality.  They believed in a master race and thought eugenics was a moral practice.  Just like the Nazis.  Then, you had the left passing laws to oppress minorities in the South, like Jim Crow laws.  And did the Nazis ban every single group?  Or just those opposed to their view of Nationalism/Socialism?  You see, this is what happens in a lot of countries that try to go full socialist.  It's supposed to be about the common man being in charge and all for one.  Or in some practices it is about a government, supposedly controlled by the people, controlling the facets of every part of the country for the "better good."  But it turns out the same way every time.  A small group of those in charge dictate to those in the working class how to live their lives.  Lives that are usually lived in squalor or not far above it, while those in charge enjoy great wealth.  And they have zero tolerance for those who oppose them, meaning either prison or death, or both.

Granted this may all be down to a difference in the definition for left or right between the US and other parts of the world.  But from my POV, the Nazis have more in common with the the left of the early-mid 20th century, than they do the right.

1. Your mistaking Democrat with liberal. The parties have swapped political ideologies more than once in American history and things like the civil rights movement were inherently liberal ideals. You think all the liberals just up and became conservatives after the Jim Crow laws went away?

2. The Nazis weren't a left leaning group. Their economics were largely based on privatization and breaking up labor groups, they were big fans of military spending "duh" and they were very heavily focused on moral standards. All right wing ideals.

3. The Nazis being right wing in the 30's and 40's doesn't really hold much bearing on the alt-right being right wing. Unless you think calling liberals "snowflake SJW cucks" is a term of endearment.
