Hell no to DST permanently. It gets dark in winter early enough as it is on standard time. Personally I think I might make decent use of the extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day about once or twice per summer. So staying with Standard time all year 'round suits me fine.

But I think a majority of people in New Zealand would want to keep the status quo and just handle the change every year, because more people make better use of that extra daylight in the evening, and it's quite good for tourism which is a really big part of our GDP. Gotta love those summer evening Hobbiton tours.
