I have been saying this for a long time now. With Firmware 4.50 on the PS4 they are closing in on a really good OS. By the time they could do this in 2019 or 2020 on 7nm Fabrication, they would have all the tools they need to be very competitive in the mobile space.
With the way Xperia is sinking, I think it would be extreamly wise for Sony to bring all of its mobile patents, and mobile developers into SIE, and start building up the PSOS to be a great alternative to iOS and Android for the gaming community.
A PS Phone that ran on the same chipset and OS as the PS4, and could tie in to Sonys Smartband, Smart Watch, and Smart Ear technologies would be completely amazing. I would love to be able to take pictures or video with the new 960fps CMOS chips Sony is putting in the Xperia XZ on a PS Phone, and be able to edit it in Share Factory, and be able to upload it to PSN and my Play Memories photo album.
I almost think they have to do this to solidify the PlayStation ecosystem for the future, and stay competetive with Microsoft, Google, Apple, and maybe even Samsung. It is all about consumer engagement, and ultimately they should want users connected to PSN whether they are at home or on the go, playing games or surfing the web, watching tv or checking/posting to social media, making videos with friends or watching a movie.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
