I ran into the Vah Ruta beast quest by accident and collected the required amount of arrows, but the game tells me I should prioritize getting my memories back which seems boring. The Wii-U logs the number of hours played per game every day, so you can count it together. |
Do both at the same time, you'll find most of the memories as you do other things. I had three memories left by the time I committed to look for them myself, and they were all near Hyrule Castle which I avoided because of Guardians. So it isn't hard to find them. I just keep the pictures in mind as I traverse the world and if I see something that might be a memory or a person gave me a hint of where it is at, then I investigate. If not, I moved on to whatever else I was doing. The important thing is to find all of the memories before you beat Ganon so that you get the better ending. You are missing a whole part of the game by not doing the dungeons, and they are the scripted portions of the game you seem to desire.
