He's an explainer. He likes to tell the story about a problem but has no intention of fixing it. Just for the record I have always been happy with british politics, but this guy annoys me. The best way to describe what annoys me most about him would be with this analogy.
Imagine a hall full of people (Britain) and one person in charge of the heating (Gordon Brown). Now it is Gordon Browns job to keep the hall warm enough for the people. It's his job to turn the heating on and satisfy peoples need for warmth. If the heating is broken, he needs to fix it ASAP.
But he doesn't do that. What he does is...
- Stand up in front of the people in the hall and explain to them that the heating is broken and he can't fix it. Not directly stating what the plan to fix it is. Eventually trailing off so people just assume that he has a plan.
- Come up with solutions that have very little to do with the heating itself - For example suggesting people huddle together for warmth, which is what he did with the smoking ban IMHO.
I Can only remember the tenure of two other Prime Ministers, John Major and Tony Blair, both of whom would have turned the heating on or fixed it (or at least the younger Tony blair would have)
That is just my opinion. Please say if you like him or not.
