Flame spear and fire rods work too. It melts slowly though, yet fire arrows are costly to use for melting. I left some iceblocks behind which I now realize I shouldn't have after finding 2 Koroks hiding in iceblocks last night. Bring plenty firewood, melt several at the same time.
