However, I can't say that I'm too surprised that they are not so different from each other, because Obamacare was just private insurance companies handling it, instead of single payer like he said he would when they got the White House, House of Representatives and the Senate (spoilers, they ended up having all three from 2009-2011, and they didn't do it). Even though it's pretty much the same thing, the whole idea is, "See?! We got rid of that ACA! Ha!" It's less about helping the country and more of a circle-jerking dick waving competition because both sides are so fucking stubborn to admit when they're okay with something from the opposing side that they're willing to shoot themselves in the foot to make some sort of point. It's childish and stupid and is why I really think both deserve a nice ass-whooping -which is pretty much what is happening by having Trump elected
