Have you tried Bomberman Hero and the Second Attack? I personally think those are also good Bomberman games. Hero is on VC I believe, so it should be easy to try that one, but 2nd Attack is not and costs quite a lot to buy it, so that one would be hard to play...

Never played 2nd Attack, but Hero was awesome. It just needed 64's MP though. Really hoping they make something like Hero again for Switch with MP.
