48 perfect scores after 75 reviews. This game is simply amazing.
I'm at 16 heart containers, two full stamina circles, 65 shrines completed, 98 Korok nuts, two Divine Beasts tamed (on my way to the third as I type this), 9 memories unlocked, I got the Master Sword, and I found quite a bit of secrets, armor sets, etc, yet I don't see an end in sight.
The game is very addictive. Every mechanics feel organic and I keep wanting to try new things, explore new locations, do more puzzles, find new side quests, etc. It's been so long since I played a game that's as well crafted as this one. There are many good games out there, and we've definitely been spoiled the last year or two. But Breath of the Wild takes things to a new level. Everything is well balanced, well thought out, and the end result is just pure fun.
This is Nintendo at the best they've ever been. Ocarina of Time may have revolutionized the series for being the first 3D adventure game of its kind and for paving the way for so many other games. But Breath of the Wild is the culmination of all the best the series has brought throughout its 30 years of history, polished and refined to a ridiculous level. It is by far the most ambitious game Nintendo has ever created and the end result is of such high quality that it deserves all the praises it gets. And to think, this is the very first time Nintendo has made such a massive game, it puts other devs who are used to make such open world games to shame, especially when you realize there's hardly any glitches despite its gameplay being centered around a physics engine.
I am far from done with the game, but it's already a contender for Best Game of All Time for me.
This is the most fun I've had with a videogame in years.
