- All previous DLC content. (kinda a standard for 'deluxe' version of games and especially valuable to those who didn't buy it all like me)
- Full new battle-modes. That in itself is a significant amount of content. (4 new stadiums vs the odd tracks of original, plus 4 new battle game types)
- 5 new characters. Additionally, they have separated the villager characters into distinct options.
- At least 3 new vehicle parts as well as 2 new vehicles themed from Splatoon.
- 2 new items to be used in races.
- Ability to carry 2 items at once vs only one at a time in a race. (both get the +1 by dragging something behind you)
If you didn't buy some/all of the MK8 DLC, this is a no-brainer. If you did buy all of the DLC, I still think this is fantastic value based on the enhancements to visual and gameplay improvements (see url) and significantly improved battle mode functionaliy.
... and this is not considering the portability and local-play enhancements the Switch in itself offers!
