Docked mode is solid. The speed you move through menus is excellent and even going from hand held to docked mode is seamless and underrated.
The games I have look great on my 46 inch (Zelda, 1 2 Switch, Fast RMX). I think they all look, "better" or more impressive in hand held mode due to pixel density which makes me laugh at people that thought 1080p screen was mandatory. My friends thought my tablet was 1080p and it was only 720p. Anyway, does it compete with PS4 or XBOX One graphically? No. Is it serviceable enough that having the ability to take the game on the road makes up for the deficit? I think yes.
Also not to be understated is the multiple controller options. I know you can do this in table top mode but the truth is, on the television it feels complete and different to table top. It feels like a true upgrade in the comfort you are afforded while playing video games.
