Great news for Nintendo!

And yet, I'm afraid that the Switch's success story will soon be over. I fear that this article is quite correct when it comes to Switch sales beyond launch:
http://www.vgchartz.com/article/267594/why-the-nintendo-switch-may-struggle-to-sell-well/

That article is really, really, really, really, really bad. The points it raises are more often than not devoid of logic. It could pass as a satirical article.

You're not even mentioning any concrete criticism. Anyway: I don't think so, but we'll see.

As much as I hope for Nintendo to release a great video game console again that becomes a huge success, I just don't see the Switch being that console.

And while I can easily understand why Nintendo fans get excited about news like "Nintendo Switch was the fastest-selling Nintendo console at launch", I know perfectly well that such news ultimately say nothing about the console's actual future success. The day the Wii launched, I was waiting in a crowd for the store to open, I remember all those people running to the video games section as soon as the door opened, trying to get a console before they were all sold out shortly after.

The number of hardware sales at launch says nothing about that console's future success, it's basically just an indicator of how many units the company supplied for launch.
