I was playing while plugged into my Google Pixel's USB C charger, and my system was at about 25% I think when I started on the charger. A couple of hours later when I was finished and was walking to put it back on the dock, I looked up at my battery and it was at 99%. So yes, you can charge much faster than you can drain, it's awesome!

Thanks for confirming! That sounds about as fast of a charge as the official charger provides, so that's awesome. I'll try it out for myself now.

My phone charger says 1.6A and my power bank says 5V.

I'm no electricianographer but I've been playing my Switch all day, at work (don't ask) and everything seems fine. I even charged while playing. I still have five hours before I go home. I'm going to let the Switch run dry and use the Power bank to see how that works. It claims to have some kind of smart charge technology.

Haha, ok I wont! I'm about to try it with my 2.4A charger now, also Anker. Thanks for the link, I love their producs and was going to look into a powerbank for my Switch anyways.

Let me know how the powerbank experiment went!

Let it run totally dry. On high brightness and max volume, you could almost see the battery draining.

I put the brightness back down to 75% and plugged up the power bank. After about an hour and a half of playing Zelda and charging at the same time, the battery is at 21% and the power bank still says it's at full power (4/4 LED lights). I head home soon, though.
