I cant think of any Nintendo games that had extreme shortages.
Im pretty sure all consoles have a limit on the amount of pre-orders.
Its seems like Nintendo shipped 1 million or so day 1, roughly the same amount as PS4/XBO so Sony/Microsoft must either be incompetent or tried to create product scarcity as well.
