The Lynels (the centaurs) are very powerful indeed. Ran into one, after the ruins of the Lanayru Walkway, while I needlessly wandered in uncharted areas. There it was, it was night-time, his two yellow eyes just staring at me from afar, not making a move. Creepy actually. When I got closer the thing just unleashed all hell with fireballs, lightning arrows, quick charges and his double axe. I really had to run for dear life.
They're supposed to be this powerful though, they're like that in the original game and A Link to the Past as well. It is cool to finally see them in a 3D game!
22 hours in now, but I'm basically still as far as I was when I mentioned I was 15 hours in. Just been goofing around Hateno and Kakariko all this time. Did some Shrines along the coast there, which were difficult, and sailed all the way to that island in the distance only to be struck by lightning.
