You can boost IQ and framerates with the additional power, or leave it locked at 30 and just use the extra power for IQ and a more detailed world, all at the flip of an option, you get to decide if you want to run in standard (power save) or high performance (power drain), simple as that. The frameworks already there, console does it automatically when docked. |
Again, those do not warrant the downsides. Have you actually seen and played Zelda in handheld mode? The world is detailed but limited compared to on the television due to screen size. What you are saying are not things that I am dismissing as untruthful, but what I am saying is that, even for a hardcore gamer, what you are asking for what it would give you in return is not worthwhile. It also would not decrease the price of the hand held unit itself and it takes away a pretty decent television option to play Zelda and other open world titles on. As a gamer, not as a fan of a company, it would not be worth the trade off for me. I would rather be able to play open world Zelda on my television and not limited to a short battery life or a 6.2 inch screen. Your idea is not practical.
