There is nothing yet on the Switch that would make 3DS owners buy it. So naturally those sales will not show up in the launch numbers. 3DS owners will jump once the 3DS stops being supported and the first 3DS IPs hit the Switch. As such it's currently irrelevant if the Switch is a hybrid or a home console.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
