I thought of you as more of a cynic that wouldn't give in to hype that much, but I do think that your opinion about the audio options is a valid one and I am not sure why they didn't include any.  I don't normally mess with them, but I totally understand why some people may need to.  It's an accessibility issue as well.

If I was a cynic I would say that BOTW sucks, which I have never said and probably never will say. It's a pretty cool game that's being held back by stupid stuff. I actually enjoy my time with it.

That is in contrast to FFXV where I rarely had genuine fun in the 100h I played it. But that game also suffered from my too high expectations.
