I don't think any console ever had a perfect release. All have their issues. Just glad it can survive a couple of hits (unlike most smartphones)

I haven't seen a console release with such widespread and varied issues in my lifetime, and issues ranging from complete system failure all the way up to shitty design of peripherals causing damage to the system themselves.

even the 360 didn't have this many problems.

That's a disingenuous statement and makes me feel like you did NOT pay attention to the launch of other systems.  There are a few things here and there that Nintendo made that weren't the greatest (definitely the dock isn't designed the best to protect the screen of the switch) BUT defects happen with any hardware, especially new ones.  A LOT of that video was just examples of hardware defects.  The PS4 had a huge issue with them, too.  I also remember the Wii U had that problem with systems bricking, though I do not remember the cause.  This is just something that happens at the launch of new hardware at times.
