It's hard for me to tell going from a lower resolution to a higher one. Once I've been playing on the higher resolution for a while and then I go back to a lower one, I can tell the difference and it's usually a pretty big one. (Like when I use 1440p on my phone and then lower it to 1080p, I can see a sizeable difference and it burns my eyes being on 1080p 
)
