Regardless if it is primarily a home or portable console, It should replace Wii U and be billed as a home console. At this point Switch is replacing Wii u, while the 3DS still has some life left within it, and possibly another Pokemon game.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
