The cartridges tasting funny is actually a clever idea to stop kids or anyone else from chewing them, because why would a grown adult, besides a child want to chew the cartridge?.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
