Don't mess with an ice arrow shooting, fire breathing, sword swirling, and highly pissed centaur.

Heh, I had an encounter with it. Most powerfu enemy I encountered by miles. I've got to run.

A word for those who want to be astonished. Mild SPOILERs if you don't want to know anything about the game:

Make your way to the top of Lanayru Mountain. You won't regret it a bit.

Also, not hyperbolic statement. This game is putting every open world game I've ever played to shame. I hope BOTW will be a reference in the next bunch of open-world titles. This is EXACTLY how to do it. Every criticism I have is nitpicking. I don't want it to end. Never. So I'm not advancing in the plot at all XD.

Yeah I've played a number of open world games and none of them are quite like this.

Haven't come across any of the bigger enemies except for two fully functioning Guardians and man those things know how to give chase plus they have Robocop style aiming, you literally have to weave out the way the second the targeting beam blinks. Was out catching horses when I spotted one down the cliff but it couldn't reach where I was so I just carried on but then another one that was just free roaming the area comes strolling around the corner FML. I have two horses one's the legendary one (would have prefered if they made you catch this one) the other is the first one I caught but have just stuck with the latter as the game gives you a strange feeling when catching and training your horse, it feels like an actual proper companion after you've registered it.

It's weird because if I'd used the other horse it'd been easier as it has better stats but I stuck to using the one I caught. I hope in future games they allow you to catch Loftwings as well.
