I am only on the list because I said it's good to have a discussion thread for the game.

Also, the OP already backstabbed the cause by buying an official strategy guide.

The way I see it, the pledge is more like a goal - try to figure it out on your own, like you would have had to do 25 years ago.  Its not that you should simply give up on the game if you get stuck somewhere.  Of course, if you really can't figure it out, look it up.  But, rather than sitting on the couch with a walkthrough open on a tablet sitting next to you, just try to figure it out on your own, so you can experience the game like you experienced Zelda's in years gone by.

 

At least, that's how I'm doing it.
