As always, 1) thank you for sharing and 2) I completely disagree with your criteria

I actually enjoyed Yoshi's New Island quite a bit, apart from that dreadful music. Tight controls, smart level design, accessible but also challenging for those seeking all hidden items and special stages. I'd give it a solid 7.5/10.
