Not a huge deal if Nintendo fixes it soon! Still, this and the lack of other features seems to suggest the Switch was rushed to market. Not a huge deal as long as the Switch is updated in a timely manner.

I guess what I mean is this doesn't seem all that unusual. I recall that I was able to transfer saves through my first three playstations on those memory cards (at least I think I remember doing that), but that's never really been the norm for other consoles as far as I've noticed and it ended with the recent PS4 as well.
